Aesthetic Experience: The Fear Of Death Beyond The Road

Each human being is born with mortality. One's death means the end of his or her life. And at the same time it means the fragility, vanity and irrevocable defeat of one's life. It is just one's perceivable end that becomes the source of the trepidation of the human beings. As a result, people become extremely scared towards the elapse of hours, the sense of vanity, and the loss of self—value. Living in an industrialized world where their emotional perceptions have been contracted by technology and reason, people aspire to surpass the spatial-temporal limit, to fully understand what the true meaning of life is. By which people wish to defend the death threat facing them.However, there is no logic certainty in life's ultimate sense and value. We just have to capture it through the aesthetic experience, rather than by technologic reasoning. The aesthetic experience, which possesses the features including nonutility, identity and spirit-orient, can help eliminate people's panics caused by elapsing hours. People achieve an optimistic and positive attitude towards life itself while they indulge in the aesthetic activities. As a result we as human beings are always on the way to catch the feeling of instant meaning of human life. In this sense the aesthetic experience has turn into a tool by which people can get over the death dread. In this article I try my best to expound the relationships between the aesthetic experience and the death dread, clarifying that the aesthetic experience is the way to survive from the death scare.This article has elaborated from the following five aspects.The first chapter analyses the foundation of the death dread, its derivation forms and the unique superiority of aesthetic appreciation.The second, third and the forth chapters, through analyzing the nonutilitarianism identity and spirit–orient in the aesthetic appreciations, pay much attention to expound the aesthetic activities .It can help people overcome the ubiquitous basic anxiety ----the death dread. At the instant of the construction of the aesthetic meaning, people realize the momentary eternality and the value of self—existence, thereby; people can throw away the haunting death dread. In the fifth chapter, I comprehensively analyze the theories held by the west aesthetes and point out that the forming of aesthetic experience can only exist in an absolute, infinite, and eternal super-experience world. People fully absorb the ture meanings of lives the instant when aesthetic meaning has constructed .Consequently, people obtain more courage, passion and confidence to defend the dread from within. In this sense, a conclusion can be drawn that the aesthetic experience has a positive impact on people's defending the death dread.We may reach a conclusion from the above expounding: for the sake of overcoming the death dread, people have always been pursuing to capture the meaning of the lives, and transcend the insignificance of"this being"to an infinite eternal world .This aspiration to surpass can be realized in the process of the aesthetic experience. The aesthetic activities help dissipate people's panic towards the elapsing hours and lead people to a nontemporal field, thus catch an eternal moment. The aesthetic experience is a meaning-constructing instant---it can let people combine themselves with significance, existence and their lives. In spite of the brevity and trickiness of the aesthetic experience, it is a source from which people obtain the motivity to live along. With the vivid sensibility formed in the aesthetic activities people contentedly return to the ordeal real lives.
