Life education curricula as a part of school education, every student can study the content of life and death, learning how to life and death, perception of life and death, to let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves. This study is based on this, designing a set of life education courses for university students, trying to know the immediate impact the continuing impact of short-term life education courses for students on the attitudes toward life and death, and recur to the feedback of the study to improving the life education courses, as a reference to help colleges to carry out life education courses.In this study, containing the experimental group and control group, taking pre-test and post-test experimental design, 18 college students for the study, in which 8 students in the experimental group received a 9-week, 1.5-2 hours per week of life education courses; 10 people in the control group get no treatment during the experiment. Research tools include a sense of scale the meaning of life, death attitude scale, as well as the life education programs that designed by researcher. The two scales test the experimental group and control group of experiments respectively, one week before the course begin, one week after the end of the course, and two months after the end of the course, to know the effects of life education curriculum for students on a sense of the meaning of life and attitudes toward death.To compensate for the lack of quantitative research, the study also selected three subjects as case study, adopted interviews, the list of each curriculum unit and the overall feedback of all curricula, to collect information in order to understand their response to life education courses.The results of this study are as follows:Firstly, after life education courses had taken, the experimental group students's sense of the meaning of life in the life goals, value of life and enthusiasm of life has some significant progress, in which enthusiasm of life has the delayed effect. In live free dimension, life education programs failed to meet the teaching results.Secondly, after life education courses had taken, the experimental group students's attitude to death in disappearance of life, near-death situations, death anxiety and adapt to death have some significant progress, including adapt to death dimension has a delayed effect. In death at ease dimension, life education programs failed to meet the teaching results.Thirdly, life education courses have a substantial impact on the life of college students. Overall, after life education courses, three students as case study whose view of life and death and the attitude to live have a great and positive change. Specifically, Confucianism and Tao's attitudes to life and death in traditional Chinese culture guide the students to establish a more positive sense of the meaning of life and attitude to death; two films strengthening the effect in more intuitive form; the discussion of earthquake events, visiting arboretum, enjoying literary works and decorating the final home have prompted students think about their own lives , and more cherished the life in the moment, liveing in the present; the final, Zen Stories teaching people that the most important thing is to find happiness in reality.Fourthly, it's necessary for college to carry out life education curriculum. Either quantitative data or qualitative information provided by the students, we can find life education curriculums' effects are very significant, and it's welcomed by the students. It also indicates that life education curriculum is necessary. If it is not necessary things, I am afraid it is difficult to be recepted easy by students.Based on the above conclusion, researcher proposed his own pertinent proposal on promoting the development of life education in college and offering help to follow-up study of life education, to offer reference for the relevant personnel and institutions when researching or carrying out life education courses.
