Primary And Secondary School Teachers' Professional Evaluation Index System Is Constructed

The study on teacher's professionalism is always a very important discussion of education study all over the world; it is also one of the central motifs of contemporary education reformation. Many education researchers and practitioners have arrived consensus on promoting teacher's professionalism and improving teacher's profession extent. This study thinks that teachers are professionals of education and teaching, their professional work is teaching, and the most fundamental content is promoting teacher's teaching professionalism in improving teacher' s profession extent. We can see some situations from present situations of this study: many researchers can't see its own characteristics and speciality of teacher's work, they give up defending the uniqueness of education theories and are interested in determining action direction of teacher's professionalism according to approval professional standards of medical and law and so on. These result in theoretical study of teacher's professionalism always following the route of characteristics model and neglectling the study on teacher's teaching itself. A very important and key aspect is studying on teacher's teaching evaluation in the studies on teacher's teaching, and the very important aspect is studying on how to evaluate teacher's teaching profession extent from the perspective of teacher's teaching professionalism. Based on the above theoretical analysis about teacher's professionalism and teacher's teaching professionalism and under the guidance of theories of modem education evaluation and education evaluation index system, this paper construct an evaluation index system to evaluate teaching professionalism of the teachers in primary and middle schools.In the designed process, this paper established questionnaire named teacher's teaching profession extent evaluation standards in primary and middle schools and made a structural questionnaire investigation by the analysis from documents and investigation interview. It had digital inputting and statistical analysis on the questionnaires by a software named SPSS 13.0 and selected the indexes that had higher frequency from indexes in the questionnaire using method named frequency selecting, then made them as an index set of index system established. This index set included these indexes: professional teaching skills, good teaching atmosphere, professional knowledge for teaching, professional teaching wisdom, sufficient teaching preparation, professional teaching evaluation, professional teaching reflection. The whole process always followed the principles of scientific and feasible characters. At the same time, this study took a principal component analysis and normalization on the evaluation index system and determined the weight of every first grade indexes of teacher's teaching professionalism evaluation index system, then it established corresponding evaluation models in order to apply normatively. The number of the models was five. It not only had holistic evaluation on the extent of teacher's teaching professionalism but also had special evaluation on teacher's teaching for evaluating teacher's current teaching situation and pointing out the problems and deficiency existing in teacher's teaching. The objective was to make primary and middle school teachers can improve their teachings purposefully and pertinently standing on long-term teacher's teaching professionalism. These five models were as followed: 1. Holistic evaluation model on the extent of teacher's teaching professionalism; 2. Special evaluation model on teacher's professional teaching wisdom; 3.Special evaluation model on teacher's professional teaching reflection; 4.Evaluation model on teacher's professional teaching evaluation and professional teaching reflection; 5. Special evaluation model on good teaching atmosphere. At last, this paper used SPSS 13.0 again to make preliminary reliability analysis on the evaluation index system constructed of primary and middle school teacher's teaching professionalism and suggested that it can be used for evaluating in-service teacher's teaching profession extent because it had good reliability.This evaluation index system of primary and middle school teacher's teaching professionalism constructed in this paper considered sufficiently professional characteristics of teacher's teaching and comprehensive combined with the connotation analysis of primary and middle school teacher's teaching professionalism and evaluation sense in modern education. Based on these, it made corresponding evaluation indexes and used statistical software which is suitable and efficient to make statistical analysis. All of these made the evaluation index system systematic, pluralism and effective. The construction of the whole evaluation index system attended primary and middle school teacher's requirements from various aspects and reduced some stimies unnecessary.
