As a highly theoretical and practical subject, not only does political ideology in middle school require students to master some basic knowledge and theories accurately, but it demands of students to observe the things around them, make sense of society in proper ways, as well as analyse and try to solve some problem, using what they have learned freely.For the time being, the general train of thought in the reform of political ideology is clear. In reality, however, great gap still exists between fullfillment and theories. Meanwhile, there are numerous problems, so the current situation of political ideology teaching is really worrisome. Besides, interaction between teachers and students is not satisfactiory. As a result, students can't absorb themselves in what they have learned easily, which is leading to a lower teaching efficiency, and students don't know how to put the theories into practice at all. Therefore faced with some practical problems, they are at a loss what to do.Obviously, an inquiry into case method of instruction is of great significance. But what is case methed of instruction? Why should we introduce it to our political ideology class? What should we pay attention to in our teaching? The following article will expound them in theoretical and practical respect, explaining the necessities of adopting case method of instruction in political ideology teaching, how to preform it, current problems, evaluating standards and so on, which are all based on disserting the present teaching situation and the definition the nature of it.
