This is an application study. By the method of observation, interview and questionnaire, this paper investigates the whole process and the effect of Out-ward Bound training (OBT) designed and executed by Organization A, aiming to find out the problems existing in OBT. The finding reveals that Organization A has problems in two aspects. The first one includes organization policy and resources. For example, it ignores the quality of OBT and lacks professional trainers. The second aspect concerns the systematic design of OBT. Organization A misses some important parts, such as pre-questionnaire, the induction during the OBT and post-survey of OBT effect. Based on the theory of OBT and Systematic Instructional Design, some specific suggestions are provided at the end of this paper with a concrete program.
