"Profession Guidance" serves as one of the most important ways to improve teachers' profession. Those teaching researchers, the staff of a local education administration branch in charge of teaching research, guidance and evaluation, whose expertise lies in advanced concept, method and experience, guide teachers' daily practice as in teaching and researching in order to improve teachers' profession as well as positive development of a school. The teaching researchers always have rich experience and understand clearly current situation. They have a better control of education theory and richer information than teachers, therefore "Teaching Researchers' Guidance" is actually "Profession Guidance". It is daily work for teaching researchers to provide teachers with profession guidance, and thus they have found some effectives ways such as training textbooks and teaching methods, observing and commenting classroom teaching, supervising teaching work, etc. Nevertheless researchers have paid more attention to those teachers who are quite experienced and rewarded with good result than to those green hands. In past few years many young college graduates have joined and become majority in the team of senior high school teachers, English teaching depends on fact whether these young teachers are well guided by such force as "Teaching Researchers' Guidance".Due to above mentioned, this program intends to guide those young teachers of English. They will be gathered to be trained intensively by researchers who will make full use of their experience in training and researching. Hopefully a good environment for English teachers' profession development will present it as follows. There stands a platform of communication, study and performance, where teachers are willing to practice boldly and think clearly. Therefore new ways and methods to perform "Teaching Researchers' Guidance" may be found, thus English teaching in Ziyang could go forward smoothly, and furthermore human resource for the coming curriculum reform of senior high school English could be enhanced.In this program Enquiry (Q&A record, discussion), Case Study and Observation were employed. Forty-seven teachers, who have joined those senior high schools in Ziyang past five years, involved themselves in Q&A record and discussion. Their students took part in Q&A to evaluate their teaching. Random class visits were also employed to evaluate these teachers teaching with a standard form "Evaluation Table for English Class in Ziyang Senior High School".This article include following five chapters:Introduction focuses on the concepts Teaching Research, Teaching Researchers' Guidance, New Teachers, Teachers Profession Development, Ways of Teachers Profession Development both in domestic and abroad, Ways of Teaching Researchers' Guidance; Chapter One explains the theory of Teachers Profession Development and Content of Profession Development for English teachers in high schools; Chapter Two presents and analyzes situation of the new English teachers in senior high schools and their profession development, the analysis data comes from aforesaid investigations; Chapter Three states problems and their causes in the teachers profession development; Chapter Four focuses on meaning, function and method of Teaching Researchers' Guidance.
