Sports Of Shandong Province Private Institutions Of Higher Education And Sustainable Development

With the continuous expansion of the higher education and the need of the development of social economy,the higher education in China witnessed a great reform. The private university is the product of this reform,which implies the creativity of the reform and development of higher education in China.To develop and strengthen the private higher education in China is an absolutely necessary choice,taking into the consideration of the continuous developing of higher education in China,and the economic condition as well.Private education,with the support of a series of laws and regularities by the government and the Party,has grown prosperously.The private higher education has become one of the most important components of the higher education in China.On the other hand,problems in these newly-born colleges are unavoidable due to their late starting, poor financial power and their utmost goals of gaining profits.Therefore,it's worth studying the physical education in private colleges in China,which is usually weak in Universities.There are up to 26 private colleges in Shan Dong Province,which take up one forth of the provincial colleges,and the number of students of which mounts to 50,000. The teaching quality of these private colleges,to some extent,affects the implementation of the policy of " To Prosper Shan Dong Province through Science & Education" presented by the Government of Shan Dong Province.In an effort to learn the present condition of physical education in private colleges of Shan Dong Province,to provide theoretical basis and advice for the concerned department to make policies,the research take some state colleges and some private colleges,which have been approved by The Education Department of Shan Dong Province to grant diploma independently,as the subject of study.The methods adopted in this research are as follows:documents,questionnaires,investigations and interviews,comparison and mathematical statistics etc.The content of the research includes:administrations,physical education,physical education outside the class,teachers of physical education and stadiums & gymnasiums etc.The software used in this research is SPSS1.0,which is applied to mathematical analysis and logic analysis.The results are as follows:(1) The management system in private colleges are incomplete.There are no Physical Education Committee either in the colleges or departments,and the management in most colleges belong to level 3.(2) The required years and classes hours are far from enough,the teaching is dull;the number of students are excessive;the teaching documents are incomplete.(3) The exercise outside class is not enough;the physical training outside class is irregular;there are less physical competition outside class.(4) The education background of the most teacher are graduates,few of whom have senior titles and their academic talents are quite insufficient(5) The fields and instruments are in short,and the investment is not enough.Aiming at the present situation of the physical education of private colleges in Shan Dong Province,according to the demands of the advanced talents in the socialist modernization in China,acting on the laws and regularities granted by the State Department and Central Party Committee,combined with the documents and regularities granted by the Educational department of China,we put forward the following countermeasures:(1) Strengthen the constructions of the laws and regularities of private colleges.(2) Improve the management system physical education in private colleges.(3) Develop physical education course in private colleges and reform teaching.(4) Build a campus cultural atmosphere of Physical Education(5) Strengthen the construction of teacher staffs of Physical Education in private colleges.(6) Build more physical educational stadiums & gymnasiums and develop comprehensively.
