| The rise of private higher education in China is an important result of education reform and innovation since China's reform and opening up, marking the beginning of China's higher education in the diversified development of the new phase. In China's inadequate investment in public education, public education resources to hardly meet the educational needs of the general public a wide range of background, China's private higher education used the market mechanism, self-financing, established schools on their own, and changed the pattern that the government managed schools for a long time after the founding of china. At the same time, It has trained tens of thousands of application-oriented, skilled person for the first-line socio-economic and cultural construction and promoted the popularization of higher education process in our country. Private Colleges in China has gradually developed into an important part of universities. Physical education ,as an important and indispensable content of college education , worked good or bad that was an important standard to measure the whole job of college and universities, whether Physical education can work normally in this particular environment of private colleges, and how the education reforming worked, its development and the development of private colleges have dialectical unity.This paper has studied 16 Private colleges of Jiangsu province, only those who have been officially authorized to issue diplomas by Ministry of Education.. The study has adopted many approaches,such as literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics,etc. The author has investigated the construction of PE teachers, Physical Education,the sports studying of students ,the structures of the stadium,the input of PE founds and the attitude of the leadership ,and reached the following conclusions:①PE teachers in private colleges and universities of Jiangsu Province composed by full-time and part-time teachers. This structural model is one of the major feature of private colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province, but the proportion of part-time teachers is too high, that has affected the stability of teachers; Teachers are relatively younger; The structures of titles and qualifications are irrational; The level of teachers'scientific research is low; Teachers have fewer training opportunities; Teachers'salaries are relatively low.②PE teachers in private colleges and universities of Jiangsu Province have a deep understanding of teaching objectives; Teaching content don't prominent occupational characteristics; Teaching methods are outdated; Teaching evaluation has been more substantial reforms.③Physical Education Curriculum in Private Colleges and Universities of Jiangsu Province exist serious problem, It has a serious shortage of class, not in conformity with the provisions of the Ministry of Education.④So far, no one private college has it's own textbooks.⑤The students in Private Colleges and Universities have strong sense of PE, the majority of students enjoy physical education lessons.⑥Sports venues and equipment are difficult to meet the needs of PE teaching.⑦A considerable portion of school leaders don't attach importance to PE.⑧Overall innovative efforts of Physical Education is not enough,the reform is not completed and haven't show its own characteristics. On this basis, the following recommendations:①Private colleges in Jiangsu Province should strengthen the construction of PE teachers.②Establish teaching content which has occupational characteristics; Innovate teaching methods; set up a wide range of evaluation system.③To extend the length of PE teaching, increase the classes; Carry out various types of physical education.④Prepare suitable textbooks for their own.⑤Increase the construction of stadiums and the input of sports funding.⑥Change the leader's conception and correct the understanding of the value of PE.⑦Strengthen the construction of characteristics of Private Colleges and Universities.
