In order to strengthen the effectiveness of the implementation of moral education in vocational colleges,it is very important for us to know the characteristics of vocational colleges and their students.The distinguishing features of vocational colleges are:First,courses offered in a vocational college focus on the regional and professional needs;secondly,the process of teaching lays emphasis on practicality;thirdly,the faculty serve a dual purpose;fourthly,the goal of school fosterage is oriented.The characteristics of the students are:First,they are at different administrative levels and the academic levels are uneven;secondly,they have strong consciousness of keeping the initiative in their own hands but are easily influenced by others; thirdly,their psychology is relatively fragile;fourthly,they usually don't own enough social capital;fifthly,they lay particular stress on specialized course.On the basis of these,this article analyses the present situation of moral education in vocational colleges,such as cramming students with too much moral content and lacking the diversity of teaching methods so that the students are not quite satisfied,the influence of unhealthy tendencies towards the students;the blind area sometimes occurring in moral education.This essay takes understanding the vocational colleges and their students and throbbing with the pulse of their thoughts for a difficult point.Meanwhile the essay regards putting forward practical moral-education plan as a key point.After reading such books as 'Educational Psychology','Psychological Obstacles of Present Adolescent and Education','Teaching Psychology in Moral Education Course', 'Scientific Research Method in Education',some view points of the main western-moral education-theoretical representatives of both the contemporary and the present age have been summed up.These theories are the essential basis of advancing moral education plan.In the plan,the first part suggests that moral education should be people oriented,that is,the students are the main part and bedrock of moral education.It is regarded as a baseline and end-result to promote the development of our students.In the second part,the thesis regards professional moral education as the key point and feature of moral education in vocational colleges and deals with the necessity and specific methods on carrying out professional moral education.In the third part,the dissertation suggests that moral education be connected with psychological-healthy education,which maintains the psychological health and yields the effects of brooding moral as well.In the fourth part,the essay puts forth suggestion that the moral education activities be carried out according to themes such as 'Confidence and Success','Establishing Professional Ideal and Planning Professional Career','Social Service', etc.,through which the students understand reasons and facts,experience real feelings,show their love toward people,establish confidence,and cultivate their temperament.In the fifth part, as to the phenomenon that there is blind area in the probation section of teaching,the thesis puts forth the idea that educational group be set up with the vocational college as the head and other relative schools and enterprises as its members.Among the group,they are mutually complementary,help each other and win-win in business.Moreover,moral education of the students during the probation period has been written down as articles in the contract so that the technicians in the enterprises are not only responsible to teach them practical skills but also the reasons of how to conduct oneself and handle affairs in society.This will be an initial measure of moral education in vocational colleges.
