The purpose of this research is to explore the generic competence model of University students and study the relationship between generic competence model of University students and employment performance.To better understanding of the generic competence structure of University students and the relationship between these two factors,and make the research more scientific and accurately,some methods such as literature analytic method,behavior event interview,questionnaire,factor analysis are used in this study.This research can be divided into three parts:Part one is the literature research of the generic competencies of University students. by analyzing the literature,we obtained the competence traits which are considered necessary by researchers for students entering the workplace.Apart from this,we also make the questionnaire to consult with the entrepreneurs,college teachers,students,to get their opinions about the students' generic competencies.Through such efforts,we finally succeed in constructing the supposed generic competence model of University students.Part two is the university students' generic model confirmation research.By analyzing the data that we collect through questionnaire,we are trying to confirm the generic competence model that we set before.Though the final result may not be absolutely coincidence with the supposed model,we also get a seven-dimension model of students' generic competence model for workplace,which is highly correlated with the supposed one.The seven dimensions are IQ competency ability,emotion control ability,executive ability,problem-solving ability,social adaption personality, self-development ability,interpersonal skills. Part three focused on the relationship between university students' generic competencies and employment performance.In this part,we are trying to figure out how these two factors work,what other else affects the relationship of these two variables,so that we can instruct the society,the school how to improve the students' generic competencies,and eventually,make the employment performance of University students better.The research studies the structure of university students' generic competencies.The measure table of evaluation for university students is helpful for their self-improvement and beneficial for career guidance given by universities.At the same time,research in field is far from perfection and much more efforts needed to further study in the future.
