As a professional skill course for computer network major in vocational schools,"Network Generic Cabling" requires students to master theoretical knowledge and construction techniques of network cabling.Through a questionnaire survey of vocational school students and teacher interviews,it was found that the current teaching of the course "Network Generic Cabling" in vocational schools has problems such as low student learning enthusiasm, insufficient practical operation,a single teaching evaluation method and so on.Students’ professional and technical abilities are not strong enough, and their sense of unity and cooperation is insufficient, resulting in difficulties in meeting the talent requirements of enterprises after entering society. In recent years, the country, various provinces and cities, and vocational schools have vigorously held vocational skills competitions, which have formed a series of achievements and accumulated rich resources, providing new directions for education and teaching reform. This topic explores the application of the project-based teaching method based on "integration of course competitions" in the course, proposes and constructs a project-based teaching concept under the three-level model of "course competition enterprise",and applies it to teaching practice, which has certain practical significance.Firstly, this study organizes and analyzes relevant literature on the "integration of course competitions" model and Project-based Learning, providing theoretical guidance for course teaching practice.Secondly, the current teaching status of the course was investigated through questionnaires and interviews in the internship school, and the existing problems were analyzed. It was proposed to introduce Project-based Learning under the "integration of course competitions" model. In the analysis of course content, the "Network Generic Cabling" competition resources were integrated, teaching projects were integrated and designed, and teaching practice research was carried out based on teaching design schemes. Finally,an investigation was conducted on the practical effects, and the survey results and practical data were analyzed to draw experimental conclusions. The research results indicate that the Project-based Learning under the "integration of course competitions" model has achieved certain results.Compared with the control class, the students in the experimental class have significantly improved their interest in learning and their overall abilities and qualities also improved. The diversified evaluation methods make the evaluation more scientific, objective, and fair, promoting the development of students’ professional literacy. In addition, students also look forward to improving their abilities through learning in order to have the opportunity to participate in competitions.
