Study On Generic Skills And Its Training In Australian Vocational Education And Training

Since 1970 s,all countries have put more energy to the cultivation and research of general skills with the development of economic globalization and knowledge economy.And integrating general skills and vocational education has become an important part in the reform of vocational education.Since 1980 s,Australia has carried out many researches on the development of general skills in vocational education.Academics,industrial associations and the government have all been involved in researching general skills,and have presented a series of research results.After more than 30-year development,Australia has formed a relatively excellent standard system and quite mature development and training model of general skills with good educational results.From 1990 s,China has studied the general skills.Although some breakthroughs have been made,the training of general skills doesn't get enough attention.Besides,we still lack understanding of vocational education.Facing this problem,the practice of Australia can provide new ideas for our country.By the method of literature and comparative research,targeting the development and cultivation of common skills in Australian vocational education,this paper studies the essence and basic connotation of general skills,its international and domestic background of development,the historical evolution in Australia,the development and cultivation of common skills in vocational education,including basic contents,skills standard,training strategies and evaluation,reporting and the features and effects of the development of general skills.Finally,through the comparison between China and Australia,this paper also examines the current situation and main problems in China's development of general skills in vocational education,and analyzes the necessity and feasibility of China's reference to Australia.By combining with our actual situation,deepening the understanding of general skills,improving the theory and practice research,this paper aims to provide students with some inspiration and recommendations of general skills.
