Taking the great change that has taken place since West Development in the Tibet area as the micro background, this research penetrates into a rural community named Pal Village, a Agricultural one which is very near from Lhasa city, On the basis of the others' study of the related subject, This research use the community study method, and adopting unstructured interview combine with survey of questionnaire in practice. According the descriptive research and comparative research, we discuss the present situation and the changes of the Pal Village that is under the external force of the government faction, the market economy and the outside modern culture.Through the analysis of this article, on the one hand, we can see the traditional culture is under the pressure of modernization; on the other hand, they also faced with the large-scale changes caused by contact of traditional culture and modern rational. The flexibility and acts of choice in villager's livelihood, is not only a result of the transmission of the local traditional culture, but also an external process to adapt the outside civilization. This constant sense of tradition and adaptation is a process of change. Through the research, we can see that the change is not only profound but wide, not only the heritage and continue of tradition, but the adaptation to the new circumstances.Through the above analyses, the writer Come to the conclusion: the way of life in a community constitutes the community's culture, the external modern culture only through the interaction with the local traditional culture, after the filtration and transformation of the "local knowledge", can cause the local residents' lifestyles changing. That is, when the external driving force infiltrate, which composed by government-led, market economy, external culture, the Pal interact with it through the use of traditional knowledge framework, as a corresponding act of selection, and the experience of daily life gradually systematized, the new knowledge into understandable knowledge, finally the local cultural system has been reconstructed.The full text is divided into eight parts: the first part for the Introduction, discusses the selection of the research object and research subject, reviewed the previous studies, and illustrate the research approach and the theory framework of this text. The second part of community profiles, highlighting the city outskirts of the village of Pal geographical characteristics of the community. The third part of the material life, through the description of pal's residential village, restaurants, apparel, and compared with the previous studies carried out a analysis of foreign culture into the Pal village communities, and local interaction of traditional culture, which caused the material life of local residents to change. Part IV is the economic life of the villagers. The author described economic life of the Pal village, with a lot of national characteristics and geographical features. Focused the impact of the market economy and urbanization on and brought about change. At the same time, analyzed the traditions that villager embody among economic life emphatically. Part V is the institution of marriage of the Pal village, the village of Pal marital status, the process of establishing the marital relations, take a comparative analysis of traditional marriage in order to highlight the Pal is in the traditional and the modern marriage of mutual integration of the characteristics of the times.Part VI concerned about the Pal family and fertility, through the data of family type, family size, the ideal number of children, child sex, the purpose of birth, etc. Come to the result: the families come to the core structure, and family size has a smaller trend. The impact of Family planning policy and the external culture, the majority of the pal tend to have fewer children, but there is still old tradition of raising a child for old age. Part VII is the spiritual life, through the villager's religious life and their education, analyzed the interaction between external modern culture and local traditional cultural, the spiritual life occurred change. Part VIII is summary. This part summarizes the points mentioned above, highlighting the idea of the study: the interaction between the external culture and the local traditional culture, the dynamic response of residents, and the way of their life took place a gradual change.
