The history of mathematics has attracted widespread attention both domestically and abroad in view of its educational meanings and influence on mathematics teaching. Secondary vocational education is an vital aspect of middle school education. Mathematics is one of the basic courses for Secondary vocational education and is of great importance. How to integrate history of mathematics into secondary vocational mathematics teaching? This is an important research issue for secondary vocational mathematics teachers. Based on the teaching features and learning characteristics of mathematics in secondary vocational colleges, this paper makes some positive exploration on the application of history of mathematics in secondary vocational education.Firstly, we make some analysis on the current situation of Secondary vocational mathematics teaching and the application of history of mathematics in mathematics teaching. According to the investigation, this paper discusses the secondary mathematical teaching features, teaching requirements and the learning characteristics of secondary vocational students. The necessity and feasibility of the application of history of mathematics in secondary vocational mathematics teaching are stated.Then, this thesis expatiates the prominent function of application of history of mathematics in present secondary Mathematical teaching from two aspects. It can not only enhance the understanding of mathematical concepts, theory and solving-problem teaching, but also cultivate the development of students' mathematical ability and quality. By the analysis of mathematical cases on the application of history of mathematics in secondary vocational mathematics teaching, this paper probes the implementing principle and methods. On the basis of the teaching experiment design and experimental results analysis, the significance of history of mathematics in secondary vocational mathematics teaching is demonstrated.Finally, we present the experimental conclusion and prospect the development in the future. The research of the application of history of mathematics in secondary vocational mathematics teaching is an important task. It make us understand the educational and teaching functions of history of mathematics better. By coalescing the authors'own teaching practice, this paper makes some theoretical and practical exploration on the application of history of mathematics in secondary vocational teaching, as an attempt to provide a little support for the advancement of secondary vocational mathematical teaching .
