Liang qichao, a great thinker of enlightenment in the Chinese modern history, uniquely opened a new door on the feminist ideas. In the historical background of saving the nation from subjugation and ensuring its survival, his unique feminist concept of development --- from women's education to women's rights, is with the characteristics of western and Chinese combination, sign of the times and the patriotic feelings, which made a remarkable contribution for the Chinese modern women's liberation movement and had a great enlightening significance.The law is inevitable. Exploring the idea of a great man in the long history of an era not only makes us rethink the history of the Chinese Women's education and the feminist movement in the worst times, but also helps us observe the actual situation of the feminist movement in a new perspective nowadays. This essay analyzes the connotation and value of Liang Qichao's feminist thoughts from two perspectives of Education and Law, in order to provide reference for the Chinese social reality. Based on this thought, the essay is divided into three major parts:The first part comes up with the Liang Qichao's feminist ideas and explains their historical background and theory origin, and then it analyzes the developmental course from women's education to women's rights.The second part discusses the connotation of Liang Qichao's feminist thoughts. In the early times, in order to achieve the liberation of the female body, foot-binding and prohibit early marriage to protect women's health was carried; then so as to promote women's liberation in ideology, it implemented women's educational policy to support the equal right with men. In the middle period, the Xinmin theory was put forward to cultivate the new women who had the right consciousness and free personality. In the latter period, the feminist movement was advocated to encourage women to pursue the educational equality, professional equality, political equality spontaneously.The third part comments on the value of the Liang Qichao's feminist thoughts. It analyzes its limitation from the contradictions of men and women's rights and the imbalance of power and civil rights; at the same time, it comments on its progressive meaning in four aspects: the process from women's education to women's rights, the local equality between men and women, the feminist ideas combined with Chinese and Western thoughts, the constitutional protection. It is because of the enlightenment of the reformist ideologists represented by Liang Qichao, which arouses a sense of national education and rejuvenation and promotes women's own real awakening. So it has been provoking influence on the history of Chinese modern women's movement, meanwhile, has been profounding reference significance to the current reality in China.
