Village Hou Jia Ying, Changli, Hebei Province is located at the shore of Bohai, also close to the well-known Jieshi Mountains and the beautiful golden coast. In this article, the reason that Hou Jia Ying is selected as the research sample is that Manchuria Railway Joint-stock Corporation from Japan sent their researchers to this village in 1940s to fulfill the whole survey called "the Research of habitual Routine in North China Villages ". (Here after "the research") As a result, all the aspects of living in Hou Jia Ying were recorded in detail. In the recent 50 years, a lot of studies about North China villages are based on the quotation of these significant research materials and results. Duara's book "Culture, Power and the Country" is regarded as one of the most powerful and popular studies.Fifty years passed, the social transform compare to what was recorded in " the research" is of course quite important and meaningful. We can not only get a complete and coherent record of this village in a century, but also obtain important reference material for the research of the village itself.The relationship between rural society and the state power is always paid special attention in the researches of villages, and rural leader as the media between them is also a hotspot in the researches. The setup of the Chinese state power since the end of 19th century strengthened the permeation from state power into rural society. What is the outcome of such permeation via aspects of rural power culture network? In this process, the social position of rural elites was shaken. What is their role in between villages and the nation? What is their destiny in the intense social transform? These are the focus of this article.In this article, the reacting/gaming records between the rural and the state power via culture power network during the period of the Republic of China and after the foundation of the People's Republic of China are taken in detail, with Hou Jia Ying village as a sample. The changes that the culture network has been through and the reasons for that; the result of the permeation from the state power to the rural society, and what rural elites have been through acting as the rural leaders in this permeation process; what is the present status of all the above mentioned built up the main content of this article.
