Modern Distance Education with the development of modern information technology to produce a new form of education are people time to build a knowledge-based economy of lifelong learning system, the principal means. At present, China's modern distance education in the pilot phase, in distance education with foreign competition in the market obviously at a disadvantage. Since 1998, a pilot distance education since the majority of institutions exist unclear objectives, location unknown, the development of homogeneous, features and other issues is not strong. Therefore, give full play to its own characteristics, has a comparative advantage to build the brand strategy is particularly important.Education is not equivalent to brand management business, how to create a brand successful business experience applied to the field of education, distance education to create a modern brand of distance education are an important experimental work of the strategic issues. I hope this article results of research can enhance our country modern distance education strategic management of brand awareness, at the same time guiding our country pilot modern distance education colleges and universities to provide brand management practice must help.
