Modern education attaches importance to the combination of unity and diversification in fostering students. The state uniform textbooks pay more attention to the fundamental quality in school students and the unity of education. As a result,they leave school-based textbooks with comparatively large space to satisfy the diverse needs of society, and can make it possible for schools to exert more influence in this field. The complement of the state uniform textbooks and the school-based textbooks can meet better needs of social developments,and provide better service to the society.The development of school-based textbooks of mathematics for senior vocational schools should follow the guidelines of the curriculum targets and teaching requirements which are provided in the mathematics curriculum criteria. At the same time take the starting and the ending point of students'developments into consideration. Make a decent choice of the contents according to the school professional features. Show respects and satisfies students in their needs of discrepancies and diversifies. Facilitate the developments of students personality into a more sufficient and initiative way.The school-based textbooks of mathematics for senior vocational schools aim to motivate the students'mathematics learning interest, help the students build up their confidence in well learning mathematics, and enhance the students'mathematics effectively. They also aim at exploring students'wide range of knowledge, and helpfully pave the way for the students for their future learning. There is no doubt that the development and use of school-based textbooks of mathematics for senior vocational schools are still in the probing stage.
