The Development Of "Essential Sexual Knowledge For Adolescent-School-Based Teaching Materials Of Sex Education For Senior High Schools"

China’s sex education,at the developing stage,currently focuses on issues including the enhancement of awareness about sex education,the shortage of policy solutions and the lack of explicit teaching outline,textbook and faculty.College students are sexually active individuals and high-risk adolescent group of AIDS.Therefore,implementing sex education in senior high school is likely to produce immediate effects on juvenile sexual health problem in our country,not only solving the sexual health problems quickly,but also preparing the students better for the upcoming college and social life.However,as the primary approach of sex education,school education is far from enough at present in China.With the current situation of middle school curricula fully considered,this study proposes providing sex education by the way of school-based curriculum.To fill the gap of teaching materials,the efforts have been made to draw up the sexuality course syllabus and outline based on domestic and international education guidelines,and to develop sex education textbooks for high school students in the light of current textbooks.All work together makes this book"Essential Sexual Knowledge for Adolescent——School-based Teaching Materials of Sex Education for Senior High Schools",come out,which covers sexual hysiology,sexuality and society.
