Language teachers should take full advantage of small class teaching the favorable conditions, starting from the teaching process, on all aspects of teaching to improve, to develop students ability to learn independently.When preparing lessons, teachers should change the status of individual combat, set crowd wisdom to work collectively preparing lessons, be able to fully consider the various classroom situations, to expand the width of preparing lessons. Currently, full implementation of the language in small classes in independent study subjects can be difficult due to various factors, but long-term development perspective, I believe it will become an inevitable choice for more teachers.Reading (MR) instruction in Shanghai junior middle school Chinese-language teaching has stirred up many questions, such as Curriculum Standards'incompatibility with course-book, the contradictions between course-book and examinations, some misconceptions on MR. The causes that hinder the MR in junior Chinese-language classroom lie on teachers'misunderstanding of MR, their underestimation of the value of MR, and the lack of plans and methods. So the definition of MR will be clarified with further illustration on its outstanding features, i.e. perennialism, classics and significant influence. The value of MR will also be explored, especially in terms of culture and literature. The classroom instruction must be integrated with out-class guidance. Furthermore, MR course-book needs to be compiled systematically for grades. Careful reading plan and measures need to be made according to current Shanghai students'reading situation and their psychological state.
