As the initial stage of relative systematic learning,children aged 3-4 years are the basic period for reading interest and habit formation.The reading area of kindergarten is an important position for children in small classes to read early.Therefore,the creation of reading environment in small classes plays a vital role in the development of children's reading ability.According to the research of Eden Chambers,the environment creation of small-class reading area is divided into physical environment creation of reading area and psychological environment creation of reading area.This research chooses the environment of reading area of a small class in P kindergarten in Pudong New District of Shanghai as the research object,carries out practical research on the environment creation of reading area of small class,summarizes the principles,methods and Strategies of environment creation through the action process of environment creation,observation,analysis,record reflection,environment adjustment,observation,record analysis and reflection,environment adjustment,and puts forward some suggestions for the existing problems.Educational advice.The study found that the current situation of the environment creation of smallclass reading area: in the physical environment creation of reading area,the reading area is located in the doll's home area,neglecting the quietness;the material delivery part of reading area does not conform to the age characteristics of small-class children;the rules and logos of book flat placement are not perfect;and the infrastructure of reading area is devoted to light children's reading and lacks operability.In the creation of psychological environment in reading area,the creation of reading atmosphere in reading area lacks comfort,freedom and childlike interest,and the development of activities in reading area lacks teachers' guidance and sustainability concern.Improvement of the environment of small class reading area: the physical environment of reading area includes the selection of light-rich and quiet areas in the reading area;the adjustment of books in the reading area that do not conform to the characteristics of children's age;the increase of books' flat placement rules,book classification and page turning marks,bookshelf room marks;the increase of hanging Book placement methods to protect books;and the improvement of the infrastructure of reading area.Put in,pay attention to the operability of reading infrastructure;adjust the reading area mattress,sofa,chair,etc.to enhance the reading area reading atmosphere comfort;add reading area wall decorations to increase the atmosphere of the reading area children's fun;the importance of autonomous reading activities rules;the use of teachers' teaching in the reading area;the participation of book rafting.Changes in children's reading behavior: children actively enter the reading area and choose to read picture books;they can pick and place books according to the color of the bookshelf room;they will sit on the sofa and use a small table to assist page-bypage reading;they can read picture books without tearing or throwing books.Ability to organize picture books according to the cover and markings of picture books at teachers' prompts;willing to share picture books with others.At the prompt of adults,children can make corresponding actions with the protagonist of the picture book,narrate the content of the picture book in oral language,and express whether they like the picture book they read.
