With the continuous development of market economy, the number of ourcountry's demand for high-level talent is getting bigger and bigger. Accompanied bythe increasing number of graduate enrollment as well as college enrollment increasingnumber of college graduates make more and more severe employment situation, andmany other reasons, the graduate school applications increase year after year, by nowtook exams for postgraduate schools has become a recognized boom. The solarge-scale exams for postgraduate schools community have not only become animportant educational phenomenon of contemporary China, but also a need to attractwidespread attention to social phenomenon. This problem was not related to theformulation of our country for employment and education policy, but also a directimpact on the educational idea of school , teaching method even education system'stransformation. This large-scale take part in the entrance exams for postgraduateschools has been brought the issue can not be avoided to the country, society, family,both deep-rooted social causes, but also a complex individual reasons. In the pastmajor part put particular emphasis on the analysis about graduate-study admissionexam agent in macroscopic level, such as social stratification, social mobility. Thispaper tries to proceed from the micro level to explain this phenomenon, take therational choice theory as the angle of view, from the micro-level, with the party'sthinking and behavior to analyze why takes exams for postgraduate schools.First, the paper choice the community of taking part in the entrance exams forpostgraduate schools as the object of study, based on the literature search and questionnaire survey, will focus on the microscopic level to analyze the basic reasonwhich the general scholars take exams for postgraduate schools, actually namely isWhat are the reasons that led to the general students of contemporary China as it istoday such a large scale, long of postgraduate phenomenon.
