In recent years a special group exist in many colleges and universities,they don’t choose to work after graduation and instead they put their lives focus in thesurrounding of their colleges. This group is usually called "Campus Drifters".They choose to stay in an ambiguity living circumstances of study andemployment, ideality and reality for various reasons.A large portion of the School-Sidescontinue to stay around the shools because they choose to take part in theNETM(National Entrance Test for MA/MS Candidates) and thus bringing about a newgroup:NETM Campus Drifters.NETM Campus Drifters is the main component of all Campus Drifters. As thenumber of NETM Campus Drifters is expanding over the years, it have brought us verycomplicated social problems and educational problems as well, hence to investigate thisgroup, to know their present living situation and development trend and to discuss thesociological and educational value behind this group has important significance.Through the sociological perspective, this paper chooses five people who haveever been part of Campus Drifters as the object of study and obtains the first-handresearch material with depth interview and case research. By describing their experienceand stories, this paper will record the state of their school drift lives and excavate theirtrue feelings and then discuss the sociological significance of this group.This paper will discuss the NETM Campus Drifters with four chapters under thevision of sociology.The first chapter is the foreword part which elaborates otherscholar’s research and then presents the main research problems and research methodsof this paper, also puts forward the research theoretical framework.The second chapteris case research which investigates and analyzes the five study object of NETM CampusDrifters, discuss their reasons of taking part in the entrance exams for postgraduate schools and classifies the NETM Campus Drifters.Chapter three is the part ofsocial distance analysis, which mainly studies the reasons of their four socialdistance.Chapter four mainly discuss the social effects of this group,talks about theirsocial integration and their attitude towards school drift for NETM and their futureplans after they break away from NETM Campus Drifters.
