Western mathematics historians and mathematics educators had realized the importance of mathematics history for mathematics education in early 19th century. Though carried out late in China, mathematics history education has gradually step from theory into classroom practice. Chinese basic education reform is being pushed forward and there is 10 requests to high school mathematics curriculum in "High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards" (experimental) issued by the Ministry of Education, one of which is: reflect the cultural values of mathematics. Considering the important role of mathematics history to reveal the nature of mathematics and sources as well as its cultural and scientific development of human society, it need use more aid materials and research learning for preparing mathematics teaching materials during the new round of high school math tutorial reform. Series is an important content of normal high school mathematics, as a special function, it portrays discrete process; reflect the fundamental laws of nature mathematical model. The study of Series comes from real production and living needs, but also from the love of numbers. It is pretty comprehensive chapters, various knowledge points and mathematical methods are converging here. Meanwhile, Series is also the foundation for learning higher mathematics, so it plays a role of connection. In this paper, series teaching has been taken as an example to actively explore and a research on classroom teaching based on the mathematics history.This paper includes four parts. The first part raises question and analysis of the background and meaning of the research. The second part presents the function of Mathematics History in the Series teaching integrating theory with practice, which helps students to establish a right mathematics culture, and comprehensive understanding of mathematical value; Increase students interest by enhancing the intrinsic driving of learning mathematics; to enhance the students understanding of the concept Series and huge moral educational value inside. The third part describes how to conduct Series teaching based on the mathematics history under the New Curriculum Reform of classroom teaching in detail with the form of case fragments, it thinks the use of the mathematics history can create scenarios and import new lesson; internalization of new knowledge, promoting the theme of inquiry; activing thinking, integration of strengthen and consolidating the capability to develop inductive thinking. The fourth part analyzes how to carry out researching learning based on mathematics history during Series teaching. The choice of topics should be conducive to the innovative spirit and practical ability, help to stimulate students'interest in the study and help reveal the nature of mathematical laws. Issues with the math curriculum and the content relevant to the content, taking into account the cognitive level of students and existing capacity and the convergence of daily life as much as possible. Through classroom teaching, topics and open problems, and other means, make them achieve changes in learning approach, increase innovation capability and build teamwork spirit during learning.
