Mathematics teaching syllabus (mathematics curriculum standard) is a programmatic document which guides mathematics teaching constituted by the State education departments. Since 1949, the State has promulgated twelve versions of mathematics teaching syllabus and two versions of mathematics curriculum standard for senior high school. Every syllabus (curriculum standard) is a teaching guide for senior high school mathematics teaching during this period, and it reflects people's basic understanding for the senior high school mathematics education at that time. It has obvious characteristic of epoch. Its evolution reflect mathematics curriculum reform process in a certain extend. So we can study mathematics curriculum reform process start with the evolution of mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard). It helps to recognize the nature of mathematics teaching in our country, so that it can provide reference for the compilation and revision of today's mathematics curriculum standard.Followed the sequence of historical development, this thesis impersonally reviews every mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard) for senior high middle school since 1949, analyzes the development of every mathematics teaching syllabus for senior high school from 1949, compares the similarities and differences in the education notion, curriculum objectives, curriculum content and curriculum estimation. Based on the opinion of experts and scholars, this thesis obtains the change and the tradition of the mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard) for senior high middle school, then proposes the ideas about the problem in this new curriculum standard and thinks of how to compile next mathematics curriculum standard or revise this one.The methods of literature research, comparative analyze research and interview surveys are used in this thesis to study the change and the tradition of the mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard) for senior high middle school. This research summarizes the change and the tradition of the mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard) for senior high middle school from 1949 in education notion, curriculum objectives, curriculum content and curriculum estimation. Then proposes the ideas about the problem in this new curriculum standard:education notion doesn't assort with the education practice; the arrangement of curriculum content is not very reasonable; the content of curriculum is broad but easy it lowers the difficulty to much. The thesis also gives some advice on the compiling of mathematics teaching syllabus (curriculum standard):the compilation of mathematics curriculum standard should properly handle the relationship between inheritance and development; the arrangement of curriculum content should be more reasonable; the choice of curriculum content should be more reasonable; a reasonable line-up of compiler should be organized.
