Classroom assessment as an important part of teaching is an activities that the values in the classroom have been constantly found, judged and enhanced, and it has functions such as orientation, feedback and identification in classroom teaching. In theory, classroom assessment reform and new curriculum reform should be synchronous, even classroom assessment reform should walk in front of curriculum reform, but from the actual situation, in many areas classroom assessment reform is lagging behind curriculum reform, it's detrimental to the further development of curriculum reform. So, classroom assessment reform is imminent.In the context of curriculum reform, for physics classroom assessment, who will participate in assessment? What's the content in assessment? How to assess and what's the status quo in physics classroom assessment? This study is based on these points and it can be divided into the following six parts:PartⅠ:Introduction. This part mainly discusses the reason why raise of the questions for the thesis, the development and status quo of classroom assessment research in China, the methods and ideas of this research.PartⅡ:General overview of classroom assessment. This part is the theoretical basis of this research. By consulting literature we understand the related concept and development of classroom assessment. Firstly, we discuss the development of classroom and classroom teaching, then the concept, the role and the significance of classroom assessment. Lastly, using this theory into physics, we discuss the concept, function and purpose in middle school physics classroom assessment in the backgrounds of new curriculum reform.PartⅢ:The subject and object in classroom assessment. This part mainly answered the questions that who will participate in assessment and what's the content in assessment. Here in allied to relatively homogeneous subject and object in traditional classroom assessment put forward the new subject and object in the context of curriculum reform about middle school physics class. The subject in classroom assessment should include school leader and subject specialists, physics teacher, students and parents. The object in classroom assessment should include teacher's teaching activities, student's learning activities and teaching environment.PartⅣ:Analysis of classroom evaluation criteria. In this part, we first establish the principle of classroom assessment standard. Then discuss what class should be called a good physics class. At last combine of the above physics classroom assessment standard to establish the criteria that emphasizes teaching should be conducted according to the student's learning and quality standards of evaluation for process of class-teaching.PartⅤ:Methods of classroom assessment. The various assessments methods can be classified into four:selective reaction assessment, discourse assessment, performance assessment and communicative assessment.PartⅥ:Investigation and analysis the real situation about middle school physics classroom assessment. In order to understand the implementation situation of middle school physics classroom assessment using questionnaire and teacher interview investigated several schools in Xi'an and surrounding. The result shows:although most teachers have some understanding of the new curriculum evaluation conception, but seldom combination of conception and practical. To solve this problem, present two proposals:strengthen teacher training and reform teacher-evaluation system.
