Values education, as the most central part of the moral education, has become a topic of the world of education during the past two decades. Values, a spirit of human-specific form, are the people's systems of beliefs about fundamental values. It is the foundation and source of values that a reflection of the living conditions of people's values and the condensation of practical experience. The unique feature of values is that it becomes the evaluation criteria system in hearts.The method of values education has an important significance for achieving the objections and stimulating values which consistent with human nature and the social development. It can be summarized as the following two points. First, the method of values education is the bridge to achieve the purpose of education. Second, the method of values education is the key to ensure the effective implementation of value education. Effective education only can be achieved through the scientific method, and the inappropriate methods will result in lost education, even it is impossible to mention the effectiveness of values education.There are four parts of this paper. In the first part, we discuss the relevance of the methodology of values education. As the commonality of human being's spiritual life and the needs of history and social development are the internal motivation of building the methodology, the opportunities and challenges in modern society is the external reasons. Secondly, we discuss some basic concepts of values, values education and the methodology of values education, and proposed the principles which we should follow from two aspects that are philosophy and humanistic values. The third part is based on the architecture of values of education. We mainly discuss the subject of the values education, the object of values education and the environment of values education. We analysis the three parts of values education, and how they impact the values education especially. The last part is about how to realize the values education.
