At present, domestic research on chemical equation mainly focuses on how to guide students to remember chemical equation, balance chemical equation, and understand chemical equation etc. However, there is no teaching research on the plausible reasoning of chemical equation. Actually, although we haven't called it plausible reasoning and clearly realized the importance of guess to sicence, it does exist in chemistry curriculum.Firstly, the writer defines plausible reasoning. It is based on existing knowledge and experience and it is under the influence of non-intelligence factors to use nondeductive forms of thought such as observation, experiment, induction, analogy, promotion, guess, qualification and association ect. Then it gets a reasonable cognitive process towards the object. The paper combines with the characteristics of instruction of chemical equation which differentiates the patterns of plausible reasoning and mainly emphasizes the patterns of analogy, guess and association. In the study, the writer tries to find out the students'obstacles of plausible reasoning based on chemical equation by means of investigation, interview and so on. Then, under the instruction idea of plausible reasoning, teachers elaborately design the teaching situation of plausible reasoning in order to stimulate students'cognitive conflict and the desire for exploration. In the process of reasoning, teachers help students form the knowledge of chemical equation and further construct and perfect their knowledge structure. The result indicates that three categories of plausible reasoning can be divided into six steps as for students:the establishment of task-representation- association or analogy-guess-verification- final conclusion. The students' main obstacles exist in the steps of representation, association or analog. As for teachers, it is entirely feasible to help students get over the obstacles of learning and improve their learning efficiency of chemical equation. Therefore, teachers should improve their teaching methods of chemical equation and help students set up a scaffold.
