Mobile Computing Platform

Mobile computing is a computing network where mobile terminals can move freely and moving is transparent to users. With the rapid development of mobile communications and wide spread of mobile computers, mobile computing is becoming a new hotspot of communication development. The research on mobile computing over the world is in undergoing phase but not mature. Expectedly, it will have extensive applications.This thesis summarizes the foreground, typical structure and characteristic of mobile computing , explains the advantages of mobile application development with Java language and J2ME frame, provides the best experimental approach to develop mobile application with J2ME,then analyses the traditional C/S pattern detailed, and researches the B/S pattern, which is contacted by few peoples. At last, the thesis raised a mobile application model, which is used to the offline application.Finally, this thesis implements the mobile application model with J2ME' best experiment against the background with on the mobile office, and explains the shortcomings in the implementation.What are concerned in this thesis is researched by few people now;maybe it is of great benefit to somebody who will research the mobile computing.
