With the rapid development of industrial automation in recent years, PROFIBUS-DP, a common standard of fieldbus specification, is widely favored by the engineering for its high speed and stability. In order to master this key technology, we need to research it. So the paper is based on the technology and cost requirements put forward by some domestic SMEs during the PROFIBUS-DP application, and its purpose is to develop a master station supporting DP communication and build a distributed control system for applications for Intelligent Monitoring System of the Mine Air Compressors.The thesis firstly puts forward the DP Master Design program by analyzing the demands. Secondly, the hardware design uses ARM+DP master protocol chip ASPC2 development mode, which works in memory share mode, and through the PC/104 embedded industrial bus the DP Master is available to external users. Furthermore, based on the Embedded Real-time Operating SystemμC/OS-Ⅱplatform and the PROFIBUS-DP OSI communication model, the sofeware design consists of three part, including FLC interface, DDLM and Userinterface. Finally, the paper verifies the DP Master through the debugging and analysis of the master-slave communication, and discusses the specific applications with it.The results also show that such a design by DP master is feasible and can reduce costs obviously, moreover, be widely used when building the PROFIBUS-DP DCS system.
