As an important part of national economy, building materials industry plays an important role in improving people’s living standards and conditions. During the period of rapid economic growth, China’s building materials industry has been booming. In recent years the development of the building materials industry began to face a series of problem because the growth of the national economy enters the new normal. More and more enterprises of building materials especially small and medium-sized company are hard to manage and cannot find development direction.After reviewing the theory of strategic management, this paper analyzes environmental factors including macro environment, industry competition environment and main competitors. With the value chain theory and resource capacity analysis, this paper summarizes the internal conditions of So-Soon. Based on the comprehensive analysis by SWOT and IFE/EFE Matrix, this paper gets the conclusion that the total cost leading strategy is the best choice of the So-Soon company by comparison and evaluation of the three general strategy.Finally, this paper discusses on channel selection, product mix, cost management, market development and gives the suggestions and measures for the competition strategy of So-Soon Company. This paper hopes to provide a reference for our country’s small and medium-sized enterprises of building materials when they face competition.
