A Study On The Social Responsibility Of Private Enterprises In Yangzhou City

With the development of economic globalization, the issue of corporate social responsibility is getting more and more attention. In this paper, with private enterprises in Yangzhou city as a sample, an attempt is made to discuss "What is Corporate Social Responsibility", " Why do enterprises take social responsibilities", "How to encourage enterprises to take more social responsibilities" and other issues, in order to explore how to enhance the sense of social responsibility among the enterprises, strengthen the management of social responsibility, and promote the enterprises to fulfill their social responsibility with a more positive attitude, so as to achieve the sustainable development of enterprises and the construction of socialist harmonious society.Corporate Social Responsibility is a comprehensive subject, on which research can be done from different perspectives. Usually foreign scholars focus on the definition, scope, evaluation approaches, business performance and other aspects in their research; by contrast, pay less attention to how well enterprises with some type of ownership fulfill their social responsibilities. This paper is undertaken to investigate and study the present situation of social responsibility fulfillment among the private enterprises in Yangzhou city, by selecting and analyzing related data, find out the problems in the implementing process, and try to put forward some improvement methods. In the first part, this paper analyzes the definition and connotation of "Entrepreneur", "Private Enterprise" "Corporate Social Responsibility" and gives a brief introduction on theory which involves in this paper; in the second part, conducts a intensive investigation of the present situation in the forms of a set of survey design; in the third part, makes an analysis of the problems and causes with the help of statistical study; in the last part, tries to find out solutions to the problems.The research results of this paper make beneficial theoretical supplement to the construction of realization mechanism of corporate social responsibility, moreover, on the basis of combination with experences of foreign model enterprises, have some practical significance for promoting the development of social responsibility of private enterprises in Yangzhou city. However, the study in this paper is not enough, especially the effect factors of corporate social responsibility:the analysis made in terms of entrepreneurs, enterprises, society and government, doesn’t explain the importance and influence of these factors in details. What mentioned above is to be further improved in the future.
