Iron and steel industry is the foundation of the national economy industry, which is the resources type industry, the raw material (iron stone,coal and other raw materials) into molten iron and steel, iron ore accounted for about 40% of the cost of the process. So the iron ore procurement and supply chain management has been the iron and steel industry priority. The supply chain management directly affects the enterprise’s profit and competition ability. The process of iron ore procurement involves the quatity of the procurement, transportation, negotiation skills, management costs, etc. In order to guarantee the iron ore supply chain cost control and obtain continuous stable long-term supply security, We must therefore do the supply chain management research.This paper is based on B group geography and internal and external environment and industry analysis, focused on the company’s own characteristics, through the analysis of the iron ore import procurement supply chain integration, according to the basic theory of supply chain management, JIT theory, backward integration theory, strategic alliance theory, and the theory of strategic cost management, puts forward some countermeasures to the optimization of supply chain each link, and monitoring and guidance through the whole process of strengthening the management of raw materials, so as to realize purchase without boundaries between each link of supply chain management.The main purpose of this paper is that through the study of supply chain management, discussed how to utilize modern information techno to gy, establishing and perfecting of imported iron ore supply chain management system, the authors synergies, the enhancement enterprise core competitive advantages, the value-added in iron ore procurement, effective control of logistics costs play a bit role.
