As an important part of human resource management, performance appraisal is not only a formal evaluation system to evaluate the employee, but also an effective tool for the enterprise to evaluate the quality and the achievement of the target. The establishment of scientific performance evaluation system not only helps enterprises evaluate the real performance of the employees, but also becomes the inevitable trend of the long-term development of the enterprises. At present, under the background of the integration of the world economy and the intensifying competition of the whole insurance industry, each company tries its best to be in an invincible position through improving performance. As a direct contributor to the performance of the insurance company, the marketing personnel occupy more important position than any other staffs in the insurance company. The question of how to improve the company’s competitive advantage with the effective assessment and the incentive of insurance marketing personnel has become the most important problem of the insurance companies.This paper studies the performance evaluation of marketing personnel in TB insurance company. With the breakthrough of company’s new strategic development objectives, the paper uses statistical analysis, questionnaire and interviews and other research methods to make a whole analysis of the current performance appraisal system, and found the existent problems and the real cause of the problem. According to the relevant theories of performance evaluation, the paper targets at optimizing performance evaluation system of the marketing personnel from TB pension insurance company, and proposing the implementation of security. The author hopes that it can improve the company’s management efficiency and the comprehensive competitiveness through the optimization of the performance evaluation system of TB insurance company. At the same time, this paper can also provide a reference for the insurance companies in the development of performance evaluation system, which has a certain guiding significance.
