Research On The Development Of Home Textiles Industry In China

The manufacture of textile can be divided into three segments:Apparel, Home textile and Industrial/Technical textile. Home textile industry has been growing rapidly since China’s reform and opening up. In particularly, since entering the 21st century, it has become a new growth engine of textile industry. Fiber consumption of home textile industry is currently 29% of textile industrial total consumption. It reached around 14 million tons in 2013. Bedding manufacturing is one of the largest home textile categories, and its development is directly related to the healthy running of home textile industry.The thesis provides a historical overview of China’s bedding manufacturing, examines the status quo based on the bedding statistics (since 2011) of NBS, the bedding trade figures (since 2010) of GAC and research on some key bedding manufactures, adopts the SWOT analysis to find the strengths and weaknesses of China’s bedding manufacturing given the domestic market, international market and industrial development characteristics, and proposes to transfer and upgrade bedding manufacturing through reform on five aspects, namely market, sales, products, quality and brands.It also studies the development thinking of some key bedding companies through positive analysis on listed bedding companies, domestic-market-oriented companies and export-oriented companies.Finally there comes the conclusion of the thesis, also the limitation and prospect on the future study.
