Study On The Formation Mechanism Of New Energy Industry Cluster

Global climate issues and energy supply issues highlighted, clean energy structure and sustainable development become a national foothold when establishing their energy development strategies. The utilization of renewable energy which is clean and sustainably supplied would ease the excessive consumption of non-renewable resources, which is in line with the idea of environmental protection and pursuit of sustainable development. In addition, the renewable energy industry chain is long, including the industries of power systems, new materials, power electronics, control systems and traditional infrastructure, automotive etc. Therefore, the renewable energy will thrive traditional industries and pull huge domestic investment. Jeremy · Rifkin asserts that the renewable energy will be the core chain of the 3rd industrial revolution. In order to get heading market shares of new energy industry, many countries attach importance to the renewable energy industry and issue development strategies and policies to cultivate and develop new domestic energy industry. In recent years, China’s new energy industry has developed rapidly in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei Province, Tianjin and Yangtze River Delta region, and renewable industrial clusters are emerging in the form of industrial parks etc.Industry cluster is a regionally industrial phenomenon in the development of industry, which is also a level to range industry development. With the external economy, collaborative innovation, industrial cluster would promote industrial development and technological innovation, meanwhile promoting regional economic development. In this paper, I will choose the regional renewable energy industry as subject, and referring to externality theory, the advantage theory, the growth pole theory and local researchers’views in industrial cluster formation mechanism. With the researching of variables that affects the cluster development, the paper will explore the main factors affecting China’s renewable energy industry cluster formation and the mechanism of action.In the part of empirical research, the paper collects the data of 31 provinces from 2005 to 2014, then calculates and analysis the regional LQ firstly; secondly collects the regional quotient data from 2005 to 2014 which is the proxy variables of the regional advantages theory, externality theory etc. The empirical research outcome shows a significant degree of agglomeration of relevance. According to the outcome, the paper concludes that the leading companies, regional electrics fundamental construction, policies and financing environment will make a difference to the development of renewable energy industrial clusters. Therefore, local government should issue rational policies according the regional conditions to promote the development of industrial clusters. At the same time, local governments should create a favorable environment for innovation, and promote the industrialization of research results; guide the flow of funds to renewable industry.
