A Study On The Interaction Between Industrial Structure Change And Labor Mobility In Beijing

In 2014 year, Beijing communique pointed out that Beijing the proportion of the GDP of the third industry accounting for the GDP has reached 79.8 percent, the Beijing industrial structure has undergone great changes; in 2015 year, Beijing municipal government announced that they want to control population of about 22 million, On the one hand industrial structure is changing, on the one hand Labor mobility is being controlled, whether there is any relationship between the changes of industrial structure and Labor mobility ?Firstly, this paper is to sum up too many related articles from the industrial structure changes, labor mobility and the mutual influence of both,and according to the theory, the paper gives a qualitative analysis for the mechanism of interaction of industrial structure and labor mobility. Secondly, the use of Beijing statistical data from 1978 to 2014 to study the development trends of Beijing industry structure and the amount of labor mobility, and the level of development at the present stage, the results showed that Beijing’s each sub-industry output rising year by year, on the whole, the industrial structure presents "Three, two, one" pattern. The amount of labor mobility gradually increase the growth rate has a trend of slowing down. At the same time, the use of industrial structure rationalization and Industrial Structure Sophistication to describe the changes in the industrial structure, and build relevant measurement indicators. Thirdly, using the Gray relational analysis method to analyze the correlation between changes in the industrial structure and labor mobility, the results showed that the rationalization and sophistication of the industrial structure has a very strong correlation with the labor mobility, furthermore, Industrial Structure is more relevant with the Labor Mobility than the industrial structure rationalization. Finally, this paper use the VAR model to further analyze the direction and the degree of the mutual influence of changes in the industrial structure and labor mobility, The results show that, in the long run, labor mobility can contribute to the rationalization of the industrial structure, while the Industrial Structure also can promote labor mobility, Industry Structure Sophistication Upgrade one unit, labor mobility increased 0.14 units, labor mobility increased one units, rationalization of industrial structure is to increase 0.06 units. In the short-term, the relationship of mutually influence between rationalization and sophistication of industrial structure and labor mobility is more obvious, however, at different time,the direction and the degree of the influence are different.
