A Study On The Employment Situation Of Landless Peasants In Chenggong University City

Landless peasants Chenggong University Town of University town construction made a great sacrifice, government, university town and developers major colleges and universities have the responsibility and obligation to solve the problem of existence of landless peasants, while the employment problem of landless peasants is the most urgent need to address. This article, from a narrow perspective, studied the special survival present situation of land-lost farmers’ social security, children education present situation and the status quo of the urbanization and found land-lost farmers in Chenggong university town have some problems in these three aspects, with the main problem rest in the low employment rate of land-lost farmers. The low employment rate and income makes farmers can’t keep up with the pace of urban daily life consumption level at present, so the employment situation should be the core of the survival status. Targetting land-lost farmers in Chenggong university town as the research object, this essay through the way of questionnaire and interview survey of 568 farmers in Chenggong university town, reached a detailed understanding of their employment status. The detailed findings of Chenggong university current re-employment of the land-losing farmers presents six obvious characteristics:First, the most professional engaged in non-agricultural; Second, the overall employment rate is relatively low; Third, female employment rate is lower than male employment; Fourth, few channels for job makes it difficult for the land-lost farmers to obtain employment information acquisition; Fifth, the high work intensity and low income; Six, employment level is low, and so does the stability.By investigating the existence of the above six characteristics of reason, this essay found that it is the reason of the government, market and farmers that resulted in the main problems in re-employment, including the imprefect land expropriation compensation system, the imperfect employment service system and unemployment insurance system from government level; The underdevelopment of economy in Chenggong district, the units using the land for labor absorption capacity and the deficiency of the current severe employment situation from market level; The out-dated conception of employment, relatively low capability and poor job market and can not adapt themselves to non-farm payrolls from individual level. Only by effectively solving the employment problem of the farmers, will the existing situation of land-lost farmers be improved. The government should play a leading role in this process, constantly improve the system of land expropriation compensation, the social security of the farmers, the land-lost farmers employment service system, and promote the land-lost farmers community cultural construction. Market should also give full play to the leading role of land-lost farmers employment, speed up the economic and social development of the region will be able to create more jobs, more fully exploiting community employment potential to improve employment of the land-losing farmers. Moreover, in addition to more and better jobs the respective government and market can only provide, land-lost farmers should strive to improve their own quality and this is the internal way to solve the problem of their re-employment. So farmers have to shift their concept of employment actively integrated into the social employment, as well as improve their comprehensive qualities and broaden employment channels and access to information sources.
