Study On Lean Production Of Steel Cord For Automobile Tire

Lean production is a kind of mode of production in manufacturing industry, at present the concept of lean production and its method are also gradually moved into service industry, which shows that the lean production mode in improving enterprise performance can really play a big role. As an important material supplier of automobile tire, using lean method can promote the development of the whole automobile industry chain to improve the production management, improve product quality and internal management effect. Especially as a steel cord manufacturer for manufacturing automobile, the product quality means higher security for car user.Based on the relevant theoretical of lean production, this paper analyzed the existing problems of production management for T company, and discussed how to improve the company’s production management after reviewing the application and study results from home and abroad, to decrease the cost of management and increase the productivity and quality. Specially, the author analyzed the current situation for T company and summarized two main problems, which are the shop floor management problem and the equipment maintenance. The improvement approach including 6S and TPM is used to solve the problem encountered with us. Finally, the improvement approach is applied into the operation of T company to test these approaches. The test results and feedback shows that the approach proposed can enhance the performance and capacity of T company and its market competitiveness for the steel cord.
