Research On The Background And Connotation Of Building High Standard Free Trade Area In China

Under the situation that the International trading rules are remodeling, the construction of high-standard free trade agreement become much important to China. This paper is focused on the issue about constructing China FTA, containing the analysis of the existing FTA norms and development tendency, elaboration of the internal and external situations, as well as the study of the proper criteria that a high-standard FTA should adopted. The purpose of this paper is to provide a main area for constructing China high-standard FTA and a key direction for all subjecting research, to find out an appropriate path to participate in the remodeling of International trading rules.For that the existing researches has already included mature and sufficient analyses of how the FTA constructing affects the international trade and economy, which almost by using econometric model, the conclusion that the positive influences of FTA are also significant. This paper is concentrating more on the analyzing and reviewing the viewpoints and literatures, defining and explaining the high-standard FTA mainly based on literature research instead of some econometric model. Meanwhile, these analyses could also lay the foundation for the research of high-standard FTA constructing.This paper consists of an introduction and four main chapters. The first chapter is an introduction of the topic selection background, researching methods, the significance of paper, as well as the literature review of research on construction of FTA both home and abroad. The second chapter introduces the situation both domestic and foreign that the construction of China FTA are facing with. The third chapter reviews the development of China FTA and points out the problem and challenge. The fourth chapter analyzes the connotation and criteria of the high-standard FTA. The last chapter makes a conclusion and provides policy advice on the construction of China FTA.
