| Yangshan Deepwater Port is the core project of Shanghai International Shipping Center construction, the first period project of it will be finished and put into production at the end of 2005.facing fierce competition from Southeast Asia and domestic ports, in order to expand and promote Yangshan Port's function and build into international container hub port, so this paper recommends the concept of Yangshan Port linking development from the perspective of Shanghai service for the Yangtze Delta, Yangtze River and whole nation. Implementing the joint action among Yangshan Port and Yangtze Delta ports realizes it's new structure of complementary advantage and development.Joint action refers to the ally and cooperation between port and port within some region limits. Each port breaks administrative division limits and carries out cooperation among regions according to inherent relevance of port's resources and adjacency of geography. Enjoying the market and resources, diversity development in port service and participating in competition together are to strengthen the whole attraction and competition of regional ports and to achieve sustainable development. In essence, linking mode is a sort of regional cooperation.Based on the analyses for the situation and developing trend of Yangshan and it's surrounding ports, this paper recommends the concept of Yangshan port linking development and discuss it's necessary. Defines the Yangshan Port linking scope measured by radius: small radius (linking Jiangzhe ports), middle radius (linking Yangtze River)and big radius (linking coastal ports). Furthermore, applying region development theory provides the base for port linking development, the research of this paper focused on chapter four and five. In chapter four, this paper explores water-water linking mode of YangshanPort linking scope, in chapter five, the author analyses the feasibility and the problems of carrying on Yangshan linking mode. At last, some suggestionsand measures are put forward. |
