However, there is a common thought in theoretical field that strategy management is only for the great enterprises as a special research field. It can be proved that most of the theoretic and practical researches on strategic management are based on great enterprises. In fact, it is also necessary to draw up and carry out strategies for small business. The importance of medium and small firms in economic development is well known. Though the main trend of their development is rising, thousands of medium and small enterprises go bankrupt every year. Almost all of the case studies find that the lack of strategic management is the main reason. This essay takes Pengfeishiye Corp. as an example to investigate the strategic management for small business.
