With the development of 50 years, China has formed an integrate Auto industry system playing an import role in national economy. Under the compact of global economic integration, multinational auto companies are entering Chinese market on a large scale. China Auto industry is losing advantages little by little in the terms of technology, brand, right of holding-stock and market share and becoming into the following from leader of market. It is very hard to join the international competition because of weak of self-decision development force. More and more China Auto Companies have realized that it is the only way out to cultivate and upgrade the core competition.How to realize the long development of companies, today there are two research ways around the world, one is traditional tool analysis, for example SWOT, the other is to study the core of competition. In recent years, it has formed a common understanding to apply the theory of core competition which has not matured and will be developed further to explain permanent competition advantage of companies.This thesis defines the concept of core competition pointing out that it is the ability of companies possessing by themselves and coming into being for a long time and melting into companies which supports competition advantage of companies and can make them abtain their sustainable existence and development. On the basis of discussing recourses of company development, the thesis analyzes the relation between company recourses and core competition puting forward that core competition is the real basis of company development.This thesis clarifies the actual developing situation of China Auto industry especially attaching importance to stating joint venture, cooperation and recombination of auto companies and analyzes its developing prospect. At the same time, it sums up the status of core competition of China auto companies, pointing out the problems intheir developing process and giving some measures and advices on the development of China auto companies in terms of core competition.
