Enterprise Statistics Factors Affecting The Quality

In the market-oriented economy, data are key factors that help corporations to make decision. Incorrect or incomplete data may cause mistakes and failure. So, the quality of data is significant for corporations. In China, many factors affect the data quality of corporations. It is necessary and significant to study the affecting factors of the data quality of corporations. Researchers have recognized the necessity and fruitful results have been achieved. However, overseas returns are not always applicable for Chinese corporations, while domestic returns are short of support by empirical research.Statistical data quality of corporations is the objective of the investigation in this thesis, and the main emphasis of the research is on non-technical factors. Firstly, the thesis gives the main affecting factors of statistical data quality on the basis of the integration of literatures and the practical situation of China. Secondly, the data are obtained through questionnaire. The number of reclaimed questionnaires is 152. Finally, data will be processed by data reduction, reliability analysis and regression of SPSS 11.5, thus a conclusion is reached.The main conclusion of the thesis is validating the main affecting factors of statistical data quality of corporations. The main affecting factors are the regard of corporations, the status of statistical personnel, normalization of organization, knowledge of statistical personnel, the strength of statistical department and enterprise information. The pertinence between data and benefit is not the main affecting factor in this research. Besides, the impact of enterprise size is not notable. The main contribution of the thesis is validating the affecting factors of statistical data quality by empirical research, covering the shortage of domestic research.This thesis can help the corporations find out the affecting factors of statistical data quality, and provides references for the corporations to improve the quality of statistical data. But still there are some shortages in this thesis. The future study can be focused on such aspects as increasing the sample quantity, perfecting the selection, measure and quantization of the factors.
