| Enterprise cluster is a typical type of industrial space organization, which lies between the market system and the hierarchy system. With the worldwide competition is increasing day by day, more and more enterprises form a cooperative network, and further more, form enterprise cluster. Thus, individual enterprise can promote itself to grow up through competition and cooperation with other enterprises in the enterprise cluster. So, it is significant both in theory and in reality to taking research on enterprise growth through a view of industrial enterprise. Up to now, however, this kind of research is still insufficient. The paper choose an ecological perspective, analyze the relations between enterprise's position and its growth in enterprise cluster, focus on the inherent mechanism of optimal ecological niche and enterprise growth, set up the optimal niche model of enterprise in enterprise cluster. All these give valuable reference to enterprises in cluster.There are three parts in this paper. Section one is chapter 2, which interprets the basic theories of enterprise niche, proposes the optimal niche model of enterprise in enterprise cluster. This section aims to establish bases for further research. Section two is chapter 3. Through analyzing the evolution of enterprise cluster, find the relations between enterprise's different ecological niche and enterprise's competitive advantage. Section three consists of chapter 4 and chapter 5, which points out that enterprise's ecological niche determines its "ecostate" and its "ecorole", and thus determines its growth. For enterprises in different kinds of enterprise cluster, it gives different optimal niche model and proposes useful suggestions.Growing of enterprises is not a static point but a dynamic process, which mix with the improvements both of its "ecostate" and of its "ecorole".
