Ecotourism has become a bright spot on tourism research and practice in China. It is one of tourism development currents in future. Ecotourism emphasize on environmental conservation, natural resource protection and harmonious between human and nature. The development of ecotourism is tested by tourism market as other forms of tourism. The key of tourism market is to plan attractable ecotourism products. And ecotourism products deeply depend on information transmission. So information transmission becomes an important factor of ecotourism development. In today's information society, many new medium emergence and medium market pay more attention to subdivision. Then media comes into contact with people smaller then before. It is very important to find a suitable combination of medium to transmit ecotourism information quickly, well and truly. The suitable combination of medium is good to build a favourable brand of ecotourism destination, develop ecotourism, improve ecological consciousness and save money.This paper is based on ecotourism theory and communication theory. Proceeding from the basic principle of communication studies, combining the three elements of the communicative system the communicant(subject of communication), the message and mass media(contents and channels of communication), and communicatee. And it makes an investigation on the suitable combination of medium to spread ecotourism information. The author gets lots of first-hand datum from the investigation which include the ecotourist markets of Beijing and the ecotourism destination of Songshan. And minimizes ecotourists group though ecological consciousness differences. Then analyses the difference information getting ways of difference ecotourists and select the suitable combination of medium. At the end of this paper, the author explain affect factors of the suitable combination of medium and analyze the commonly method of how to find a suitable combination of medium.This paper innovate some theories of the suitable combination of medium in ecotourism information transmission. The author hopes to give some practical advices to ecotourism destinations and relate enterprises and could help to ecotourism development practicality.
