The study of the social security problem of mobile workforce is a focus in the field of social security at present. Due to their morality and their sympathy to the peasant workers, most researchers propose that the government should give the basic social security to the mobile workforce in order to keep the stability of the city and the harmonious development of economy and society.In another perspective-Urbanization, this paper, based on the former researches ,first analyzes the social security problem of mobile workforce and how it speeds up the urbanization and achieves rural laborers' transferring to the city on a large scale, then it scrutinizes the present social security system under the standard of urbanization and puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations. This paper is mainly divided into five parts:Part one mainly analyzes the realization of the theoretical foundation and the necessity of the labour force's free flow and urbanization, then tells the current situation of Chinese workforce flow.Part two mainly expounds the fact that the realization of the free-flow of workforce and the urbanization should regard social security as the breakthrough point. At first we put forward that traditional workforce's flow mode which is scarce of social security can't meet the need of urbanization. Then we put forward that the main factor of hindering the workforce's free flow and urbanization lies in present social security system's distemperedness. Finally we draw that urbanization should regard social security as the breakthrough point.Part three mainly analyzes current situation, defect and reason of the mobile workforce's social security, then emphasizes the necessity of setting up the mobile workforce's social security.Part four analyzes the social security systems of western countries in the process of workforce's shifting and urbanization, and describes its place where we can draw lessons from. This part mainly analyzes the early social security system of British, German and U.S.A.
