Economic globalization and China's entrance to WTO brings enterprises in china great chance and challenge to deal business in international market. While more equal and reasonable treatment is received, Chinese enterprises are confronted with the great competitive pressure as the domestic market becomes an international one. More and more multinationals enter into China, make it much harder to survive for domestic enterprises especially the SMEs (Small and Medial sized Enterprises). So internationalization becomes an important strategic of many SMEs in china.Entry mode selection is one of the most important dicision when enterprises decided to entry into a foreign market, this will directly influence the long-term running of enterprises. So present study intend to give a guide to manager's decision making by studying about factors that influence enterprises' entry modes selection.Present study divided entry modes into investment mode and export mode, work on the factors that influence entry mode selection of the SMEs in industry of Zhejiang Province. Beside, present study further divided the export mode into trade-window (that means set up sales-institution in foreign market) and other export modes as a great many enterprises in china are still at the stage of export. Present study work on eight factors for three aspects, which are firm-specific advantage, foreign environment factors and the attitude of the company's owner. And the eight factors are firm-size, international experience, local experience, value of know-how, advantage of product cost, invest risk, market potential and the international entrepreneurial orientation. Present study also discusses the influence the international entrepreneurial orientation has on relationship between entry mode selection and some factors.A questionnaires survey is carried out among the top manager or the employees who work on international business of SMEs in Zhejiang Provice. 113 valid samples are collected out of 268 during two months. The date is analyzed by using SPSS statistical method, descriptive analysis, analysis of variances and logistic regression analysis is used.Mian conclusions include: (1) firm-size, international and experience, advantage of product cost, invest risk, and international entrepreneurial orientation have positive influence on the choosen of investment, but the invest risk have negative influence on the chosen of investment. (2) International experience, local experience, and market potential have positive influence on the choosen of sales-window set up in foreign market. (3) International entrepreneurial orientation has a positive influence on therelationship between investment risk and mode selection.It is a pratical and complex work to research on the entry mode selection of the SMEs when they conduct internationalization. Some significant conclusions are drawn from this study. While considering the complexity of the issue, the limitations of this study are unavoidable. In the end some advices are given for the future research.
