Urban tourism has become a new growing point and pillar-industry of urban economy along the coming of Information Era, which gives rise to the emerging of a new functional part of cities called Recreational Business District (RBD). The 21st centry is an Experience Era with the feature of recreationist-oriented economy, therefore it is really a necessary question to ask how RBD will react to this trend. From the perspective of tourism experience, this article focuses on three representative RBDs in China's Yangzi River Delta Area (YRDA) which are Chenghuang Temple RBD, Confusion Temple RBD and Qinghefang RBD located in Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou respectively. These RBDs are all historical districts with rich traditional culture and have several similarities as well as differences based on which a set of comparisons are conducted here. This article is trying to build a conceptional framework on a solid theoretical foundation by reviewing and summarizing relative literatures and information from databases both home and abroad, then take analysis to the RBD tourists' experiences in YRDA within that framework. First, tourists' pleasure are measured and compared among those three RBDs, then both Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) are used to construct three particular models of tourists' experiences for those three RBDs. through which the effects of those characteristic factors have on the degree and quality of tourists' experiences as well as their correlations can be well observed. Finally, conculsions are drew from comparisons of these three models, and suggestions are also made in the aim of improving the quality and level of RBD tourists' experiences, which can shed certain light on the development of RBD not only in YRDA. but also in the whole China.
