Modern Travel Map Artistic Research And Practice

Tourist map is a very important space tool for tourism and tourists. Travel map design is facing unprecedented challenges with the fast development of tourism and growing population of tourists. In particular, the tourists'cultural quality is also constantly upgrading.This article draws the modem tourist map which takes landscape painting techniques as the painting techniques. It studied how to make the tourist map which has both art and accuracy. The aim is to provide a new design idea and construction of artistic methods for modern travel map.First of all, the author is studied the art of ancient maps. Through the literature it must find old maps'pros and cons to inherit and learn. It is the way to understand the traditional Chinese cultural connotations impact on maps. Old maps have very high appreciation value and collection value, in addition to their long history, but also because of the use of landscape painting techniques. Landscape painting technique is a unique art technique with Chinese characteristics, not only show their artistic content, as well as a high cultural content.Second, it builds the based theory for map design. It ensures the travel map has high art and accuracy in the same time according to research and exploration the map mathematical theory and ornamental value design and cultural value design. Then artistic symbol design qualitative and quantitative research.Finally, it's drawing practice. It draw the tourist map of Green Lake, and then showing the map design process to provide new idea for tourist map's art design.
